Ingredients

  • 12 ounces pasta (such as spaghetti or linguine) uncooked
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter preferably high quality
  • 3 cloves garlic finely minced

Equipment

  • Large pot for boiling pasta
  • Stirring spoon
  • Frying pan or skillet

Method

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat until it begins to foam and turns a light golden color.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant and slightly softened, making the kitchen smell inviting.
  4. Pour the cooked pasta directly into the skillet, tossing gently to coat each strand with the garlic butter mixture.
  5. Continue tossing the pasta in the skillet for about 1-2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the pasta to absorb the aromatic butter.
  6. Remove from heat and serve immediately, with extra grated cheese, herbs, or chili flakes if desired.

Notes

Feel free to garnish with fresh parsley or sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese for extra flavor.
