  • 1/2 cup honey liquid sweetener
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil or light coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon warm spice flavor
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves a subtle spicy note
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract optional for enhanced warmth
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt enhances flavor

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Add the rolled oats to a mixing bowl.
  3. In the same bowl, add honey, oil, cinnamon, cloves, vanilla if using, and sea salt. Stir until the oats are evenly coated.
  4. Spread the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet in an even layer.
  5. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, stirring once halfway through to ensure even toasting.
  6. Remove from the oven when the oats are lightly golden. Let the granola cool completely on the baking sheet before handling, as it will crisp slightly as it cools.
